How do you disabled the awful new tab system?

I don't have thumbs 30cm long, so the new tab feature is just horrendous. Whoever thought the new tabs were a good idea!
However, it appears that there is no way to put them back to their original format.

@GianlucaBadejo You can choose among the three available designs, one of them being the regular known one.
